People Management Essentials Program
This series of 1 day workshops is offered individually or can be combined as a People Management Essentials program. All workshops are practically-focussed, with a focus on case studies and the particular experience and questions participants bring. They are run in-house and accept up to 20 participants. Workbooks and materials are included.
The Difficult Conversations workshop
This workshop is designed for managers and team leaders wanting to improve their skills in holding difficult conversations. The workshop assists participants to:
• deliver difficult feedback about performance, attitude or behaviour – honestly and proactively
• bring a coaching approach to these conversations
• encourage individuals to accept responsibility for the changes that they need to make
• provide a supportive environment for the individual to make these changes
This workshop also gives you an opportunity to consider the positive impact of properly addressing an issue and preparing for an honest, open, clear and constructive conversation with an individual. You will practice a difficult conversation, including how to get the ‘opening statement’ across clearly and succinctly and explore what the follow up conversations will look and sound like.
Building effective teams

This workshop gives managers and team leaders the opportunity to enhance their team leadership skills by:

This workshop is designed for managers wanting to improve their skills at leading their teams through change. The workshop will help you to develop your change skills, assess your team’s readiness for change and enable your team to:
• see change from various perspectives
• take new actions
• identify and address obstacles
• imagine success

This program provides teams with the opportunity to participate in an interactive, creative and engaging learning experience that supports the strategic direction of theorganisation and the operational priorities of their areas.
It aims to deliver significant impact at individual and team level in areas such as innovation, change management and team building/dynamics to provide a platform for future development.
The program includes pre-reading and reflection exercises. Workshop goals, focus and desired outcomes are determined through a collaborative process with team leaders and/or members.
The workshop is run over one full-day or two half-days.
